Travel by Plane
The most convenient way to travel to Vieques is to take a plane from the San Juan, PR (SJU) airport. Vieques is only about 10 miles off Puerto Rico’s eastern coast. The duration for the flight is about 30 minutes. It’s the fastest and easiest way to get from Puerto Rico to Vieques. All major airlines fly to Puerto Rico and offer decent fares. The airlines currently flying from Puerto Rico to Vieques are: CapeAir and Vieques Air Link.
Flights are offered from the San Juan International Airport (SJU) and San Juan Isla Grande (SIG/TIJG) a smaller commuter airport.
Travel by Ferry
The new fast ferry ride from Ceiba to Vieques takes about 30 minutes. There is also a cargo and passenger ferry that takes an hour. Both services leave from Ceiba to Vieques. Contact us for information on the current ferry schedule since this can change by season.
